Integrating Social Media, Web 2.0, and F2F Teaching: Classroom Action Research

Action research in the middle years classroom can be very powerful. Using it as a mechanism to provide students with authentic learning experiences where they are the valued teacher of their peers was a challenging but successful, Australian,18 month PhD action research study.

This research will be presented at a round table on Monday 4:15-5:15, 25th June 2012

The research was done over 3 phases:

Phase a occurred during Semester 2, 2010, and included seven classes.

Phase b occurred during Semester 1, 2011, and included five classes.

Phase c occurred during Semester 2, 2011, and included 1 class.

 

Phase c involved schools from Russia and Romania as part of a global classroom project. This won first prize for the SIG online learning award and will be presented at a poster session on Monday 11:00 -1:00pm, 25th June 2012 https://www.isteconference.org/2012/program/search_results_details....
