I would like to hold a BOF session for schools and districts using Chromebooks. The purpose of the session will be to discuss implementation of our 1:1 Chromebook programs and to share best practices for using Google Apps for Education and Chromebooks.  There are a growing number of schools using Chromebooks and we have been connecting in a PLN. We would love the opportunity to meet and share.

Thanks for getting the discussions started.  This sounds like a perfect birds!

Hi Anita,

Will you let us know when it's time to submit the formal proposal for the BOF sessions? I've got several districts interested in collaborating on the BOF Chromebook session.

This would be of interest for schools who are considering the Chromebook as well.

I've talked with several school districts that are interested in assisting with the BOF Chromebook session.

Oakland Unified is piloting them in three schools in Northern California.  I know their district tech coordinator would be interested in this BoF.

Here's a question for those of you who are using Chromebooks now -- What is your evaluation of the Management Software that Google provides with them? Is it well designed? Useful? Worth the ongoing subscription?

Hi Jennifer,

The management console for the Chromebook is continuing to improve. Google is working with our engineers on things that we would like to see in updates. We're hoping that they will come up with pricing that will be more affordable for schools and districts that are purchasing a large quantity of Chromebooks.
