Permalink Reply by Michelle Martin on October 1, 2011 at 8:50am I've recently discovered the Montessori apps for math. Here is one example: http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/montessori-place-value/id408285618?mt=8
I have purchased a few for my 3rd grade daughter who struggles in math. I have always been inclined to the Montessori approach to teaching, and find these apps do the Montessori philosophy justice!

If you work with aviation English, LiveATC is a must. I tell all my military pilots to download it and to practice writing down tower / ground clearances. For my international students, I also recommend NPR News and NPR Music (both free) and Flashcards Lite.
