As we prepare for ISTE12, what are some areas of online, blended, or eLearning would you want to learn more about or what issues do you feel still need to be addressed? What is YOUR "hot topic" as it relates to/or any and every form of online learning?

Developing a school culture in a new online high school or middle school would be an interesting topic. One that I have been dealing with this year. How do others handle and develop "school spirit" and provide students with some of the features they expect from a high school while breaking out and exploring their experience as an online school and not a brick and mortar?

Hi All,

I think the kids get very excited about talking online and sharing their work. They can really become a team as they are carefully guided and facilitation by online leaders. I think the term learning and leading fits very well here. The learning takes place by all participants. The leading is done by all participants. The facilitator is the personal guide that asked questions and promotes suggestions.  -- For many students, "education" is already happening online. Now the educational facilitator needs to become comfortable with his/her role.
