After graduating from college I joined Teach For America to teach in the inner city. I was later invited to co-found the district's first technology-based "School of Choice". Observing the affinity students had for video and media on computers in my classroom I chose to pursue a career as a multimedia producer. Later, I completed a M.A in Instructional Technology and Media from Columbia University, Teachers College, where I was awarded a Technology Fellowship. Immediately following the completion of my M.A. I was hired as the Instructional Designer/Scriptwriter for BMW. I went on to become the Senior Producer for the Sundance Channel, where I developed a map-based multimedia portal called The Green. The "Eco-mmunity" for this project this was the first Google map-based social network. I earned a Webby Award in 2009 for my work with Scholastic Media. I have worked as consultant for The Learning Collective specializing in educational web development utilizing video and other forms of social media. I currently am Executive Producer at BrainPOP.com an award winning educational animation studio. I have working in the online media industry as a producer, videographer, writer for over 15 years.
