Loren Naffziger is an Instructional Technology Specialist, teacher education clinical practice lead supervisor, and professor. His dissertation work is a examination of the most effective practices of face-to-face, online, and hybrid teaching methods with an emphasis on blended learning. He is a former high school Principal, which was the beginning of his work in teacher education, professional development, and blended or hybrid learning. His current involvements include the use of an Internet-based remote observation, communication, and evaluation system in teacher education. He has several ongoing pilot projects including the use of SMART Technologies in Higher Education, most effective practices for substitute teachers, and the use of Vidyo conferencing in teaching. His research interests span the areas of teacher education and the use technology to improve education.
