Hi All! I'm new to ISTE this year. I work at an NGO that uses IVC and Project Based Learning Curricula to connect youth worldwide. My colleague and I are having an IVC Showcase on Monday @ 10:15am where we'll connect to our partners in Afghanistan and discuss our programs. You can ask our partners questions! Also, any advice on what not to miss at the conference? There are so many sessions, it's a lot to take in and schedule!See More
"Hi All! I'm new to ISTE this year and really looking forward to it! I am the Program Asst at Global Nomads Group (www.gng.org), a nonprofit based in NYC that fosters dialogue amongst youth worldwide and engages them with their peers…"
At Global Nomads Group, I support the implementation of GNG’s dynamic programs by managing the program schedule, coordinating logistics, and serving as a liaison with educators. I started as an Intern assisting with curriculum development and project based research. In addition to all things scheduling, I facilitate many videoconference programs and GNG's webcasts. I graduated from George Mason University with a BA in Global Affairs and a concentration on Asia. During University, I traveled to Russia and Germany, where I performed with the GMU Chamber Choir, and Australia, where I studied abroad focusing on Asian politics, history, and culture. Most recently, I traveled to Haiti with the GNG team to wrap up our Students Rebuild: Haiti program. I'm excited to share my enthusiasm to unite the global community by breaking down cultural barriers with Global Nomads Group and learn more about the world of education and technology!
