"Hi guys, this is my first time attending ISTE. I see lots of ISTE attendees with more ribbons than a four-star general (in the Air Force, we call that "fruit salad" :-). What's the secret to earning these mysterious ISTE ribbons?

I've been providing SMART Board training and technical support for the last several years at Defense Language Institute. I'm a SMART Notebook 10 Certified Trainer and educational technology trainer at Defense Language Institute. In addition to teacher training on SMART Notebook 10, I create military-themed ESL/EFL/ESP SMART Board activities to support our curriculum at DLI. All of our classrooms are equipped with 685ix large format boards, SMART document cameras, and SMART mixed reality cubes. I am also in charge of the American Language Course 24/7 project, an MP3 player pilot study involving 50 international military students. I teach and write aviation course materials (both fixed and rotary wing), and am interested in advances in avatar and aviation sim lab technology (we use both at DLI).
